Shahrukh Khan Naked Body Scan Scandal

Shahrukh Kahn appeared on the UK television show Friday Night with Johnathan Ross and told Ross and the audience that he believes his naked image was printed out and shared around after he went through one of the full body scanners at Heathrow Airport. 

However, the owner of BAA airports has said that Kahn's story is completely not true and that what he describes never happened. The 44-year-old Bollywood star of My Name is Khan said that it was the female security staff who printed his naked image so that they could share it around. He then said that he had even autographed some of them. 

My Name is Kahn is all about racial profiling of Muslims at airports after the 9/11 attacks, and Kahn was detained at Newark Liberty Airport last year, which sparked an outrage in India. 

Mr. Kahn described his experiences of the new body scanners at Heathrow Airport to Johnathan Ross:

He said: “I'm always stopped by the security, because of the name. And I think its okay: the western world is a little bit worried, paranoid and touchy, I guess – and freely when they're frisking you.

“I was in London recently going through the airport and these new machines have come up, the body scans. You've got to see them. It makes you embarrassed – if you're not well endowed.

He said that when he came out he saw these girls with printouts, which he says he thought were forms you had to fill in. 

I said 'give them to me' – and you could see everything inside. So I autographed them for them.”

However, a spokesperson for BAA said that the scanners do not have the ability to print out anything and images cannot be distrubuted or stored in any way. The spokesperson also did say that as the scanners were only put in place four days before the taping of the show, they were only being used for departing passengers, so it is more unlikely that Khan would have gone through one. 

BAA said there would be no investigation in to the matter.
